Welcome to the website of Xanova Belgian
Shepherds. We are Babs Robinson and Tommy Goode. My first siting of this lovely
breed was in the sixties when I met the first Gronendael imported to the UK. It
was to be a few more years before I was able to acquire my first Tervueren from
the Corsini kennel of Amanda Maclaren and Karen Ellis. 'Zany' was never shown
but I was hooked. I was to have 3 more females from Corsini, one of whom 'Nova'
was to hold the CC record in England for a few years.
In 1996 I met Tommy and we set up home together where the girls weaved their
magic on him and he now adores the breed as much as I do.
We enjoy showing in England, Ireland, Holland, France and Belgium where we
enjoy meeting old friends who share our love of this beautiful breed.
I also serve on the committee of the BSDA of GB helping to organise shows and
functions which tends to keep me pretty busy!.
I love to have a go at agility also which the dogs love, it all helps to keep
you fit!.
Tommy and I live in a little village in Surrey not far from Heathrow airport
where we breed an occasional litter which are raised in the house with our other
girls. All our dogs are first and foremost our pets, anything else is a bonus!.
We will always strive to breed dogs that are typical of the breed with a
sensible character.
